Work in Progress

 I have been fascinated with a colony of double crested cormorants that are nesting not far from where our boat is moored in Blaine Harbor. On my regular kayaks past this loud and very smelly group of dedicated nesting birds I have come to love their beautiful shapes and constant movement. Here are a couple of preliminary charcoal sketches that I hope to work towards a couple of larger canvas's. Wish me luck!
