| Vermillion Desert. Acrylic and metal leaf on re-purposed wood panel. 24"x6". |
I have returned to the desert for the winter. Summer was full of water, waves, and forest green, which is wonderful, but I crave the vast openness and the big sky in the desert. My first piece completed upon my return celebrates one of my favorite desert birds, the Vermillion Flycatcher. They light up the desert with their indescribable glowing red. It feels good to be back.
