Complete "Eagle Door", commission piece, mixed media on door |
I have had the wonderful experience of working with my fellow artist and sister, Lyn Jackson, on a fun commission project. We were tasked with using a reference photo of two bald eagles, taken by our client, and create a mixed media painting on a door. The clients wanted to use a recycled door as the support for the piece. We went to the ReStore in Bellingham and selected a hollow core door as our "canvas". We worked on a design that was inspired, but did not copy the reference picture. Below shows the work in progress. Contact us if you need your own door.

It begins with a door. Lyn is thinking that covering up that nice grain is a shame. |
