This is the first in a series that stars our two cats and explores texture and playing with negative and positive spaces in a piece. This was fun to create by under painting a board with black gesso. This was topped with light molding paste (like putting frosting on a cake) and then I scraped out the positive images (the cats) back down to the black gesso and then came back with acrylic paint and added subtle color. Very fun.
